Hello to you all. My name is Marije and I am a Dutch artist living in Luxembourg with my loving husband, three amazing children and Jack, the dog.

Inspired as a child by Klimt and his extraordinary female portraits, I have been painting and drawing since I can remember. Creativity has been my constant companion. But sometimes, it takes nearly half a lifetime to find the courage to fully embrace your calling. My professional life, brought me elsewhere—but the need of expressing myself on paper never left me. 

 

 

Over time, it became clear: art is not just a passion.

It is what I am meant to do. This is my coming out, as an artist revealing the beauty of the female face. When you experience art – in any form – it should evoke an emotion. That is exactly what I hope to achieve with my work: that it resonates with you and brings a sense of positivity.​​
